Guest Bio Karen Feldman is a veteran New York public middle school history teacher with over 26 years of experience, widely recognized for her impactful Holocaust curricula that promote tolerance and combat prejudice. Her dedication to Holocaust and human rights education earned her the 2023 Louis E. Yavner Teaching Award, one of New York State's highest honors in education. Following the October 7th attacks, Karen co-founded and now leads the NYCPS Alliance, a coalition of over 2,000 educators, parents, students, and allies committed to combating antisemitism in public schools. Under her leadership, the alliance has built a comprehensive system to track incidents of hate and assess educational content using advanced AI algorithms, cataloging over 8,000 pieces of evidence. In partnership with the NCRI, the Alliance recently released Entryism Exposed, a groundbreaking report investigating antisemitic, anti-Israel, and anti-American biases in NYC public schools, revealing alarming trends of ideological indoctrination and inadequate oversight within the DOE. The report, the result of extensive interviews and curriculum analysis, calls for urgent reform and provides tools for detecting harmful, terror-funded educational materials.
